1. INTRODUCTION AND ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
Welcome to TransportLog.com.ng. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the TransportLog platform, including our website, mobile application, and all related services.
By accessing or using our platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please discontinue use of the platform immediately.
These Terms apply to all users, including:
- Shippers/Clients (individuals or businesses seeking logistics services)
- Transporters/Carriers (vehicle owners, drivers, and logistics providers)
- Logistics Agents (intermediaries and freight forwarders)
- Visitors (general users browsing the platform)
2. DEFINITIONS
For the purpose of these Terms:

| “Trip/Job” | A confirmed transport assignment between a Shipper and Transporter |
| “Agreement” | A confirmed booking between a Shipper and Transporter |
| “KYC” | Know Your Customer — identity verification process |
| “NGN” | Nigerian Naira, the official currency used on the platform |
3. ELIGIBILITY AND REGISTRATION
3.1 Eligibility
To use TransportLog, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be a registered individual or business entity in Nigeria or internationally
- Possess the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
- Not be blacklisted or banned from the platform previously
3.2 Account Registration
- Users must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Each user may only maintain one active account on the platform
- You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials
- Any activity under your account is your sole responsibility
- TransportLog reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts with false or misleading information
3.3 Business Accounts
Companies registering on TransportLog must provide:
- Valid CAC (Corporate Affairs Commission) registration documents
- Business address and contact details
- Authorized representative information
4. TRANSPORTER REQUIREMENTS
All registered transporters on TransportLog must:
4.1 Vehicle Documentation
- Valid vehicle registration certificate (issued by FRSC or appropriate authority)
- Current roadworthiness certificate
- Valid vehicle insurance (third-party minimum; comprehensive preferred)
- Hackney permit or goods-in-transit permit where applicable
4.2 Driver Requirements
- Valid Nigerian Driver’s License (professional category preferred)
- National Identity Card (NIN) or other valid government-issued ID
- Criminal background check clearance
- Minimum of 2 years driving experience for commercial transport
4.3 Compliance
- Transporters must comply with FRSC regulations, State Transport Laws, and any applicable NAFDAC or SON requirements for specialized goods
- Failure to maintain valid documents may result in immediate suspension from the platform
5. SHIPPER OBLIGATIONS
As a Shipper using TransportLog, you agree to:
- Provide accurate descriptions of goods, weight, volume, and special handling requirements
- Ensure goods are properly packaged and labeled before handover
- Not ship prohibited or illegal items (see Section 9)
- Provide correct pickup and delivery addresses including contact persons
- Be present or have an authorized representative at pickup and delivery points
- Pay agreed-upon transport fees as per the confirmed booking
- Declare the true value of goods for insurance and liability purposes
6. BOOKING AND PAYMENT TERMS
6.1 How Booking Works
- Shipper posts a transport request with cargo details and route
- Transporters submit quotes/bids or Shipper selects from available listings
- Shipper confirms booking — a binding agreement is formed
- Payment is processed through the TransportLog escrow system
- Funds are released to Transporter upon confirmed delivery
6.2 Pricing
- All prices on TransportLog are displayed in Nigerian Naira (NGN)
- Quoted prices are binding once a booking is confirmed
- Additional charges may apply for:
- Waiting time beyond 2 hours at pickup or delivery point
- Route changes requested after confirmation
- Special handling or equipment requirements
- Toll fees, parking charges, or government levies
6.3 Payment Methods
TransportLog accepts:
- Bank transfers
- Card payments (Visa/Mastercard)
- USSD payment
- Wallet balance (TransportLog Wallet)
- Mobile money (where applicable)
6.4 Escrow and Disbursement
- All payments are held in secure escrow until job completion
- Funds are disbursed to Transporters within 24–48 hours of delivery confirmation
- TransportLog charges a platform service fee (currently [X]% of transaction value)
- Service fees are non-refundable once a trip commences
6.5 Invoicing
- Electronic invoices/receipts are generated for every completed transaction
- These may be used for tax and accounting purposes
7. CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
7.1 Cancellation by Shipper

7.2 Cancellation by Transporter
- If a Transporter cancels after accepting a job, a penalty fee may be applied to their account
- TransportLog will assist in finding a replacement Transporter
- Shippers will receive a full refund if no replacement is found within a reasonable time
7.3 Refund Processing
- Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days
- Refunds are made to the original payment method
8. GOODS IN TRANSIT — LIABILITY
8.1 Transporter Liability
- Transporters are liable for goods from point of pickup to delivery
- Liability is limited to the declared value of goods as stated during booking
- Transporters must maintain Goods-in-Transit Insurance for high-value shipments
8.2 Platform Liability
- TransportLog acts as an intermediary marketplace and is not a transport company
- TransportLog is not liable for:
- Loss, damage, or delay of goods in transit
- Acts of God, natural disasters, or force majeure events
- Theft resulting from Shipper negligence in packaging or declaration
- Disputes arising from incorrect cargo information provided by Shipper
8.3 Damage Claims
- All damage claims must be reported within 24 hours of delivery
- Claims must be accompanied by:
- Photographic evidence
- Delivery waybill/receipt
- Written description of damage
- Claims are subject to investigation before settlement
9. PROHIBITED GOODS
The following items are strictly prohibited on the TransportLog platform:
- 🚫 Narcotics, illegal drugs, or controlled substances
- 🚫 Firearms, ammunition, and explosives
- 🚫 Counterfeit goods and pirated materials
- 🚫 Human trafficking or any form of human smuggling
- 🚫 Wildlife, endangered species, and their by-products
- 🚫 Radioactive, toxic, or hazardous materials (without proper certification)
- 🚫 Stolen goods or items of uncertain ownership
- 🚫 Pornographic or obscene materials
- 🚫 Items banned under Nigerian law or customs regulations
Violation of this section may result in immediate account termination, reporting to law enforcement, and potential legal prosecution.
10. USER CONDUCT
All users of TransportLog agree NOT to:
- Engage in fraud, misrepresentation, or deceptive practices
- Use the platform for money laundering or financial crimes
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Post false reviews or manipulate the rating system
- Circumvent the platform to conduct off-platform transactions to avoid service fees
- Attempt to hack, exploit, or disrupt the platform’s systems
- Use bots or automated tools to manipulate the platform
- Share login credentials or impersonate another user
11. RATINGS AND REVIEWS
- Both Shippers and Transporters may rate each other after each completed trip
- Ratings must be honest and based on actual experience
- TransportLog reserves the right to remove reviews that are:
- Fraudulent or fake
- Defamatory or abusive
- Clearly motivated by personal bias unrelated to the transaction
- Users with consistently low ratings may be suspended pending review
12. PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION
12.1 Data Collection
TransportLog collects personal data necessary for:
- Account registration and verification
- Processing transactions
- Improving platform services
- Regulatory compliance
12.2 Compliance
We comply with:
- Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023
- NITDA Data Protection Regulation (NDPR)
- Applicable international data privacy standards
12.3 Data Sharing
Your data may be shared with:
- Verified counterparties in a confirmed transaction
- Law enforcement agencies when legally required
- Our payment processors and technology partners

13. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
- All content on TransportLog — including the name, logo, design, software, and text — is the exclusive property of TransportLog Nigeria Limited
- Users may not reproduce, copy, or distribute any platform content without written consent
- Users grant TransportLog a non-exclusive license to use content (including reviews and feedback) they submit on the platform for service improvement
14. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
14.1 Internal Resolution
- Disputes between Shippers and Transporters should first be reported to TransportLog Support
- Our team will mediate within 48–72 business hours
14.2 Escalation
- Unresolved disputes may be referred to:
- Arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act (Cap A18, LFN 2004)
- Lagos Multi-Door Courthouse (LMDC) or relevant state dispute resolution body
14.3 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any court proceedings shall be held in Lagos, Nigeria.
15. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TransportLog, its officers, directors, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, or legal fees arising from:
- Your breach of these Terms
- Your use or misuse of the platform
- Goods transported using your account
- Infringement of third-party rights
16. TERMINATION OF ACCOUNT
TransportLog reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account if you:
- Violate any provision of these Terms
- Engage in fraudulent or criminal activity
- Repeatedly receive poor ratings or complaints
- Fail to complete KYC verification when required
- Remain inactive for more than 12 consecutive months
Upon termination:
- Access to the platform is immediately revoked
- Pending payouts (if any) will be reviewed and processed accordingly
- Escrow funds will be managed per the dispute resolution process
17. AMENDMENTS TO TERMS
- TransportLog reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time
- Users will be notified of significant changes via:
- Email notification
- In-app/website notification
- Continued use of the platform 30 days after notification constitutes acceptance of updated Terms
18. FORCE MAJEURE
TransportLog shall not be held liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters (floods, earthquakes)
- Government actions or regulations
- Civil unrest or armed conflict
- Nationwide internet or power outages
- Pandemics or public health emergencies

20. SEVERABILITY
